Simple Bathroom Refresh

While we wait to make this our dream bathroom, we’re making a few simple changes to it now, because even though it’s not what we envision for this space, that doesn’t mean we can’t make temporary changes to make it pretty and functional.

When we moved into our home the main bathroom was far from our style, but we waited to do anything to it. After living with it for about a year, we decided we wanted to simplify it, by not only having less cabinets, but by having less stuff too. We practiced at living with less “things” in the bathroom, so that when we went from having a bathroom full of storage, to a bathroom with 2 pedestal sinks and no storage, it would be an easy switch.

We waited about a year before making any changes.

First Bathroom Redo

This was our first re-design of the bathroom. We’ve had it this way for about 15 years, and thought it was time for a little refresh.

This is where the moodboard comes in. We have some big design ideas for this bathroom, but for now we’re making small updates, which has me falling in love with this room all over again.

For this refresh I wanted to pull in cleaner, modern elements, like the mirrors and lights, while still using vintage accents. This helps the room blend better with the style of the rest of my home.

I’m almost done with the refresh and will be sharing photos of the space really soon! If you want to see some behind-the-scenes of the makeover, head to my Instagram to check it out.

UPDATE: Check out the finished refresh here!
